Not just another thrift store:
Supporting Community Resilience: In times of crisis, such as hurricanes, homelessness, or displacement, the thrift store will act as a hub for free essential resources. We will distribute necessary goods to those most in need, ensuring our community has a dependable place to turn during emergencies.
Serving Low-Income Communities: We aim to provide affordable, quality items to individuals and families in underserved areas, offering them access to everyday necessities at free or reduced costs.
Empowering Community Connections: Beyond its retail function, the thrift store will also serve as a vibrant community space. We plan to host free workshops centered around Blue Urbanism, exploring the intersection of urban life and water through topics like coastal resilience, marine conservation, sustainable design, and climate justice. These workshops will foster environmental awareness, stewardship, and community action.
